Iphone Applications that i use

The app store isnt a new concept by any means. I mean Handango been there for the windows platform for ages. But because with Apple there is an integrated approach, it works well. The apps like everything else; is good and bad.. Not sure what Apple criteria for software is, multiple versions of software that does basically the same thing doesn't really work for me.

Anyways what apps do I use most?

  • NetNewsWire - Free app. This is singularly the best application for me as it syncs with Newsgator to provide me with my subscriptions that I can read offline.
  • Versa Bible - KJV. Bought app. I tried Olive Tree's bible app and Mantis Bible Study reader and i still come back to VB..
  • MxTube - Free  app. Allows you to download youtube videos to the phone. You need to jailbreak your phone for this. To jailbreak your iphone I recommend winpawn
  • Mail - Integration with exchange works well if you have a company that provides a public cert and has exchange active sync.
  • Mobile me ( mmm next topic)
  • Readdle Docs - provides an online repository for pdf documents
  • Jaadu VNC - great vnc app. works well with Real VNC
  • Palringo - IM Client

Apps that I bought

  • Crash Bandicoot - Not sure why as i haven't played it at all. Just to show off the iphone i suppose
  • G-Spot (k get your mind out of the gutter) It allows you to pinpoint your location (google maps does this) but allows you to email that to your contacts as well
  • MoPhoto - allows you to view flickr albums
  • Illium ewallet - store security stuff. Didnt use it as i use a portable app called keePass
  • CroMag Rally - Another game
  • Phone Sabre - Need I say more?
  • Ipint - Safe drinking!
  • Super Monkey Ball - k i was sold in the Apple Dev demo
